IN MEMORIAM
JOSEPH RICHARD LOGIC, M.D.
Dr. Logic past away on April 28, 2001 at age 66. He was currently a Physiology Professor at our Spartan Health Sciences University Campus in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia. Dr. Logic was a resident of Birmingham, Alabama and in 1999 retired as professor of Medicine and Radiology from the division of Nuclear Cardiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Among his many life highlights, he was past President of the Alabama Society of Nuclear Medicine, the Alabama Heart Association and the Birmingham Cardiovascular Society. We would like to thank his contribution to our School and pray the lord for his eternal rest.

HOWARD B. CORNING, M.D.
During the past semester, a Spartan Health Sciences University icon has retired from active teaching. Dr. Howard Corning, a Harvard's cardiologist, Spartan Health Sciences University's Dean and cardiology, pneumology, physical diagnosis and clinical medicine professor at our School for more than 15 years decided to retire due to health problems. Dr. Corning obtained his Bachelor in Arts from Harvard College and then went to obtain his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York. He performed postgraduate training in medicine and cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He served as instructor in medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. The student body would like to thank Dr. Corning for his contribution to our educational goals and our School, his friendship and his lifetime achievements.
